AvFlight, an aviation support services company, will be settling in their soon-to-be home at Gerald R. Ford International Airport.  This second-of-its-kind business (at Gerald R. Ford) is planning to build a 30,000 square foot hangar.  The new building will incorporate a conference room, lobby, pilot lounge, kitchenette, catering kitchen, office space and maintenance area.  AvFlight will provide aviation support services to include fuel sales, hangar storage, de-icing, other services for general and business aviation and ground handling services.  Building is scheduled to begin later this year and 30 new jobs will be created with this 6-million-dollar investment.

Grand Rapids own Walker based Bissell, a 140-year-company, is planning a 25,000 square foot expansion at its corporate headquarters in Walker, with a goal of expanding space for another 150 workers, the planned growth through 2020 and beyond.
