June 3^rd featured a new 130-Room AC Hotel by Marriott at 50 Monroe Avenue, NW.

D.A. Blodgett-St. John’s – Campus Renewal Plan Announced

Fundraising is in full swing through 2019, as the campaign “Together for Kids”, begins its quest for $10 million dollars. These dollars will be spent for a new campus, near Dean Lake and Knapp Streets which will include administration offices, a medical clinic and classrooms to expand the education and wellness for the children served by this organization.
In 2018, more than 9,000 children and families were assisted through mentoring, counseling, foster care, adoption and residential care.  To date, $7 million has been raised with the help of 130 community donors, including businesses and area foundations.  The new consolidation is expected to save this organization over $2 million dollars over the next two decades.

Upon completion of this new facility, locations on Leonard Street and Fuller Avenue will plan closures by 2022.
