Grand Rapids continues her innovative path, which will keep our community among the most desirable regions in the United States!  A Local Rockford Construction Company & Consumers Energy are working together to create what is called “Circuit West”, a 10-block area on the West side of the city.

This ten-block area will consist of solar panels on all new building roofs, to include a new Meijer grocery, offices and housing.  A battery facility planned for a location near a cell tower, will be the first time a solar grid and a storage facility work together.

Not only will this be a testing location for this innovative approach to renewable energy, but it will offer safe, clean and less expensive power.  This project will also provide increased bandwidth for communication systems, internet access and electrical car charging systems.
