Michigan’s beer industry was worth 10.5 BILLION to the state in 2016.
Over 34,000 jobs in our state are directly related to beer making, distribution and sales. These employees earned a combine income of well over $940 MILLION last year.
Michigan’s beer industry is flourishing and top on the list are our local brewery businesses: Bells, Founders and Shorts, not to diminish New Holland, Atwater, Dark Horse & Arcadia. 12% of the U.S. growth of beer sales is attributed to craft beers.
