Project Rapids

The mystery buyer for Steelcase’s 100-acre parcel is known as “Project Rapids”.  Last week, they were given a go-ahead by Gaines Township, working towards the permits for a 1-million square foot building, with 2700 parking places included:  An Amazon Distribution Center?  Stay tuned for new developments, however it is amazing news for W. Michigan and for those looking for employment.
 

Canned Ridge Cider on The Way

RC Investors and Ridge Cider founder, Matt DeLong, partnered-up in 2017 and the results are great news for the small hard cider company and its progressive growth.  Last year, this small local company bottled two of its popular hard cider flavors, “Porch Sittin’ & Raspberry.  They were available in our local market centers to include Meijer & Spartan Nash grocery stores.
This year, a new and improved product will be available this early summer.  The switch from glass bottles to aluminum cans makes for ease of packing and transportation and will open the business up to expand to some local restaurants, bars and stores.  In fact, this canned hard cider will be featured & sold at Frederick Meijer Gardens summer concert series.

Another success story here in W. Michigan.
