The Coit Square project is slated to be built just west of the new Grand Valley State University’s Raleigh Finkelstein Hall, which is a 37.5-million-dollar structure with a combination of classrooms, laboratory and office building.
Coit Square will be built on a site where nine 100-year-old houses will be raised, making room for the 36-unit condominium project, headed by Artesian Group. Construction is planned for fall, 2018 and will be totally completed, in three phases by the end of 2020. The plans call for underground parking to accommodate 31 spaces.
The selling price for these units will be between $250,000 and $375,000. The projected revenue from both property taxes and city income taxes is said to be upwards of $140,000 per year.
