Have you heard of it? Located at 460 Fuller Avenue, NE, this “center” is dedicated to research, development & innovative thinking for its global supplier owner of automotive & aerospace components, Hutchinson. This is a first of its kind, the brainchild of this France based W. Michigan supplier of jobs. The G.R. facility occupies over 13,000 square feet of a renovated 3 floor in a 100 year old building, once the home of Corduroy Rubber Co, which is located on a 30 acre campus.
A Chicago based investment group will soon be the new owners of 56 N. Division, the 102 year old Keeler Building. Basically unused for more than 20 of these past years, this 160,000 building will need major construction to bring it up to code. The new owners are speculating whether its use will be residential, office or mixed. Another success story bringing more vitality to our city!
100% green energy will be implemented by one of G.R.’s newest businesses. Switch, a Nevada based company, who has recently committed to purchase 4100 60th Street, will be building a Mega Data Center. This promises to bring 1000 new jobs and a $5 BILLION investment to our W. Michigan Community along with their goal to be progressive on increasing access to renewable energy.
A family owned business since 1969, is expanding to the north end! With four existing locations, the newest Adobe In & Out will be located at 3928 Plainfield Avenue, NE, Plainfield Township. This business will offer dine-in options with a capacity of 45 in addition to take-out. Remodeling has begun at the site of the former Long John Silver’s and the Boorsma Family will be training staff, between 15 and 20 workers.
