Same location, however an updated vision and revision of what is coming to down town Grand Rapids, Michigan.  Beginning in April, the “Twin Towers” project at 150 Ottawa will break ground.

The building of the first tower, a 15-story office tower, will be anchored by the Grand Rapids law firm of Warner Norcross and Judd, utilizing the handy proximity of the Kent County Courthouse.  What has changed?  The “second” tower will now house a 160-room, First Class Hyatt Place Hotel with an accompanying full service restaurant.  Due to the recent doom in new apartment building and available rental buildings in the down town corridor, this change was announced by John Wheeler, Orion Real Estate Solutions.

Demand caters to a new “Suites of Marriott”, a to-be-built, which is an extended-stay hotel.  5411 28th Street, will be the home to a new 100-suite extended stay motel, the first of its kind in SE Michigan.  This approved business building will fill a void of the ever-increasing need for local businesses to house professional and corporate clients, coming into our city for short work assignments.  Each suite will have a kitchenette and the length of customer stays are slated to be geared for one week to several months.
